Bear in mind that 2 teams in the north have lost their place due to forfeiting games during the regular season (Sunderland and Edinburgh) and 1 in the south (Surrey).

The NMC have put their heads together and have decided that in order to reduce costs as much as possible for the plate teams the first round will look like this, as opposed to how it would with strict rankings:
